FamilyDay@theCenter: Urban Moves
Saturday, September 8
Two Sessions: 11 AM - 1 PM or 2 - 4 PM

Join the Center for Architecture Foundation for a fun exploration of movement in the city we inhabit. Our bodies play a key role in an architect’s process, as his or her design choices affect how we interact with others and respond to our surroundings. Participants will watch video examples of dance on city streets and in buildings, then learn how to create simple dances together as a family. Using the city as our inspiration and backdrop, both children and parents will experience architecture through our bodies in motion. Each family will receive a recording of their dance as a keepsake of their kinetic design!
Family Day Programs are designed for children ages 5 and up, accompanied by an adult. Admission is $20/family of 4; $10 for Center for Architecture Foundation Dual/Family Members; additional guests accompanying a Family Admission are $5 each. Programs take place at the Center for Architecture, 536 LaGuardia Place, between Bleecker and West 3rd Streets in Greenwich Village, unless otherwise noted.
Your registration includes acceptance of our photo release and consent policy.
