On September 18th, tour attendees got an exclusive look at the newest addition to the theatre district, the Signature Theatre. The tour included a discussion of the integration of sustainable design features for the project's anticipated LEED-CI Platinum rating, the ways the programming and mission of the company informed the design of the facility and theatre system, and how each of the public places within the building are sites for the spontaneous interaction of artists, audiences, community members, and staff. The tour began in the lobby then move to The Linney (a flexible theatre), The Diamond (the largest theatre), and The Griffin (a jewel box theatre).
Ticket price of $100 per person included a fully tax deductible contribution to the Center for Architecture Foundation.
Funds raised through this event supported the Center for Architecture Foundation's Programs@theCenter - interactive gallery tours and hands-on workshops designed to engage K-12 school groups, families and young adults in contemporary topics about the built environment.
