On November 8, 2011, classroom teachers learned how to enrich their math, social studies, language arts and science curricula with hands-on architecture and design activities. Sustainability, structure and strength were featured topics. Teachers also went on a neighborhood walking tour and received a classroom-ready resource and activity packet.

Feedback from November 8, 2011:

“Great job - thank you for the most meaningful, interesting PD of my 9 year teaching career.”

What did you learn from this workshop?: “Loads! Basics of architecture, ideas for application…I will definitely incorporate built environment education into my teaching -- if feels doable now.”
